                         image watermarking for authentication and integrity verification. 
                         However, the peculiar nature of watermarks demands special care in 
                         the application of digital signatures for this purpose. Here we 
                         cryptanalyze a recently proposed watermarking scheme and show how 
                         it can be strengthened to thwart our attacks, exploring the use of 
                         hashing function contexts and signature algorithms based on
